May 17-20, 2015 Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri

The FamCamp is about 90 minutes from Fort Leonard Wood .  We took a couple of days to check out the base because it was so huge.

We also checked out Bridal Cave.  It was the first time to have a guided cave tour.

Lake in the cave

This is the rest of our trip.
We are in Effingham, IL till Monday.  We move to Decatur, IN and have
Fleetwood look at an electrical problem, then to Goshen, IN for the GlamaRama.
We should arrive in Durand, MI on June 7th.

May 11-14, 2015 Air Force Academy

So Colorado Springs, the Air Force Academy was fantastic.
The Famcamp on the base was beautiful.  I can only imagine
how packed it is for a football game.

This is a photo of part of the campus.
The dorm rooms and class room are in this square.

This is the outside of the chapel

And the inside

We also took a ride on the Pikes Peak Cog Train

Blowing the eight feet of snow off the track

Beautiful view

Then off to lunch at the Broadmoor.
The food and service were great.
After eating we took a walk around the grounds.

So this is Garden of the Gods
It was our last day with the Red Rocks.
I really wanted pictures of rock climbers.
My great-nephew Camden had entrusted
us with his Flat Stanley project and I had
no pictures of climbers.  Today was my day!

I was so happy to get these last shots!!

Our next big stop is Lake of the Ozarks.

May 3-6, 2015 Moab, Utah

What a great place even if we did have rain and clouds.  This place is all about people having fun in the outdoors.  There were tons of bicycles, jeeps, hikers and tents.  I took so many pictures and these are my favorites.

I took a ton of pictures here but deleted them from the camera before I downloaded them.  There is a first time for everything.

Ancient Sands

Balanced Rock
Double Arches

Outlaw Jeep Tours!!

Going up and over the rock

On the Colorado
Hell's Revenge - Straight Up Wild Ride

Then to Canyon Lands.  I left the battery for the camera at the RV, good thing I had my phone.  It did a pretty good job.

View through the Arch
Looking back at the Arch

See the crack on the left?

View at Buck Canyon

Love how the center falls in.

Grand View

Met up with these guys on the Le Sal Mountain Loop.  They were the most loving hunting dogs I have ever met.
Love

Ready to hunt

Floating down the Colorado

Drove three miles down a dirt road to this historical site.  Strange how the
stone reads "massacred by Indians" but these guys were destroying the Indians land.  They were protecting their land.  I like the other marker better.

Spring in the mountains

Winery sign.  I thought it looked cool
So now I am all caught up again.
Tomorrow, if it doesn't snow on the pass, we will be heading
to Colorado Springs.  We will be staying at the Air Force Academy FamCamp.

May 1 - 2, 2015 Capital Reef National Park

Capital Reef had the largest variety of things to see.
They had fruit trees planted by the Mormon settlers, their home, petroglyphs,
and flowers.

This is Capital Gorge.  I love the water marks

Cool flowers

Golden Throne

 Petroglyphs are so interesting.

Of course there are the creative shots
