FMCA RALLY 2017

We had a great time at the 2017 Family Motor Coach Rally
in Indianapolis, IN

Look at the line!
Just think, there were several different parking zones

Beautiful sunsets.

Our coach all set up.

Bill waiting for the storm to clear
so we can drive.

I took a short ride on the Monon Trail.
I wish I would have had longer.  It was a
beautiful ride.

We ate at Fire by the Monon.

I had the wine and Bill had a Mango Voodoo

I had the BERRY FRESH SALAD with steak, spinach and romaine, seasonal fresh berries, crumbled goat cheese, almonds, golden raisins, Scholar’s Inn granola and topped with red onions. Served with our house-made vinaigrette
Bill had the INFERNO BURGER Topped with smoked pulled pork, our chipotle-citrus BBQ sauce, aged white cheddar cheese and our beer-battered onion rings.
I also ordered the onion rings but could not eat them all.
It was a great restaurant with great service.

We had great entertainment this year.
The Sidewalk Stompers rocked our lunch break!

We also had nightly entertainment that was very good.
William Florian preformed a tribute to John Denver.

They preformed a great mix of tunes

Saturday night was Cirque-A-Palooza
They were a great mix of corny and serious.

Some sights around the fair grounds

How much is that puppy in the window?

We had rain, mud and stuck RV's

I found Zeus and Athena
Beautiful Rottweilers
I can't remember the owners names.

These folks had a hot tub!!

The infield Lot X
We called it home

We were a little short on drives.
Bill and I got the award for most hours driven.
We drove 20 hours and only did the morning and evening shifts
so we never missed anything!!

July 7-8, 2017

This is our track to Indianapolis for the FMCA rally.
We stopped by a town called Bluffton, IN and it stole my heart.

This is the county court house.  It was build from sandstone in 1889 and added to the
historical register in 1979. I love the detail in the building.

I love the old buildings and Ella is my
granddaughters name!

This shop had a ton of old sewing machines and
vacuum cleaners

Ouabache State Park was one of the places that the  Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) did a lot of work. Many of the roads, shelters, restrooms, gatehouses, and bridges etc. still in use today were built by these young men during the Great Depression.

They have a small herd of buffalo here.
They look more like cows.  I am not sure if that is because of
age or because they are in an enclosure.

This was our favorite restaurant.
I took pictures of the food after we had eaten half of it
so I didn't post pictures.
Not only was the food wonderful the owner were great.
We had a few great conversations and they made us feel
like family.
I would make a special stop just to
see them and eat their food.

We made it to the rally and things are getting busy here.
I can't wait for things to get started!!

July 4, 2017 Celebrations

With family coming into town we had a long weekend of celebrations.
Family, friends and being thankful for all those who made these celebrations possible.

Thank you Shannon and Mike for a great day!

We also got up early to go support this little cowgirl.
She did a great job competing against 8 year olds.

The Little Blur!

We love the cookouts.  Especially when the grill master
gets a new smoker.  It was a great day with Steve, Kecia and friends.

Not just any hamburgers these are venison burgers with bacon, thyme, garlic, blue cheese, cheddar cheese, and a raspberry & chipotle glaze that was fantastic.

Then one more party with friends from our RV group.
Thanks Mike and Diane we had a great time.

We end the weekend with a beautiful sunset behind our rig.

We are currently on our way to the FMCA Rally in Indianapolis, IN.
