The Kentucky Horse Park

 

We stayed at the campground next door and then spent the rest of the day at the horse park where I got to pet many horses.  It was a good day!!

 

 

The Bourbon Trail

 

 

We started the day at the Woodford Reserve.  This was a wonderful tour for me because the tour guide allowed us to take tons of pictures. 

 

A lot of these are more artsy than informative but this place was so beautiful.  I hope you enjoy the photos.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Wild Turkey Tour

 

So here we are where Bill's favorite beverage is brewed. 

I thought the last tour was great, but this one held a special suprise.  The master distiller Jimmy Russell got on our bus to finish the tour.  He was so much fun and had so much information to give.  A really sweet man.

Rebecca Ruth Candies

Our next stop was the town of Frankfort and Rebecca Ruth Candies to take a tour and purchase some bourbon balls.  What a way to finish the day. 

We ate at a local restaurant called Gibby's and got the most wonderful home cooked food and fantastic service.

 

It was great trip with wonderful memories.
Now we are back in Michigan and looking forward to Athena and Nate's wedding.  I will have lots of wedding pictures to post so keep checking back.

Part Two of the Habitat Build

The Car A Van Gang + Mary

The extra guy is her cousin.  They were a great

We had a rainy day so we all

went to the resale shop to help out.

 

 

The people at the Allison Creek Church took great care of us.  Bill and I are on a boat ride with the Care A Van group and this is Sam.  He is the Pastor at Allison Creek.

 

 

 

 

This grave yard is beside the grave yard at Allison Creek Church.  While we were here a Pastor from Liberia spoke regarding people who were laid to rest here have the same last names of people from his tribe.  The fact that there is a like between York, SC and a tribe in Liberia is fantastic.

The Habitat Build is complete for another year.  I already miss everyone and we are counting the days till the years build.
