Jerome, AZ

Jerome, AZ was a great little mining town. Lots of old buildings and so many things to photograph. We will go back when it is warmer.

We only walked about two blocks of this cool little city on the side of a mountian.  I really want to go back and this time get an early start!

Yes this is snow in the mountians!

Arcosanti

We bought a book that has day trips in it.

Our first trip was one I have wanted to do since I seen it on the travel channel.  Arcosanti is a community that was developed by Paolo Soleri who studied under Frank Loyd Wright.  The community is being built to be off the grid and self staining.  It was a cold day but I loved the tour.

The bells they make here have a lot of history. Cosanti Bells are made in a foundry on site.

They are also made from clay forms.

Also, it was a VERY chilly morning!

The views from Arcosanti are beautiful!

Tuscon & Tombstone

These are pictures from my morning walks in Tuscon at the Juston's Diamond RV Park.  This park was very nice and the people who own it are great.

We also spent a couple hours at the Sanora Dessert Museum.  Hope you enjoy the photos from the museum.

And then there was Tombstone and Boothill.  It was very chilly here so there are not a lot of photos.  We did take a tour of the town and the history is nothing like the movie.

Well that is the end of our journey to Suprise, AZ.  We are all settled in at the Sunflower RV Resort and we get our assignments tomorrow.  We were invited to a workamper New Years Eve party and we got to meet most of the other workampers.  This place is huge!  I will send pictures in my next blog.
