The trip to Falls Park was beautiful.
I can't believe the amount of towns that have
great water features.
The ruins are part of the park and the reason the falls were created.
The ruins are of Queen Bee Mill. The mill opened in late 1881, and consisted of a seven-story main structure The mill could process 1,500 bushels each day. However, by 1883, the mill was closed — a victim of inadequate water power and a short supply of wheat.
This is one of the features at Iowa Lake Park.
We got to spend a couple days with Rondi, Roy and Kappy.
The guillotine is for a creepy camp weekend that the park hosts.
They sure found a beautiful place to workamp for the summer.
After checking out two awful campgrounds we found this gem on Lake Winnebago in Oshkosh, WI. Kalbus Country Harbor was beautiful.
While in Oshkosh I also got to meet up with this lovely friend for a beverage.
One step closer to the Mitten!
