Grand Canyon 2014 Day 2

What a clear beautiful day.
I took pictures all day and these were the favorites.

The Grand Canyon 2014 Day 1

We headed back to one of my favorite places on earth.

The sun rise, sun sets, stars, wildlife and food did not let me down.

The clouds were really thick our first day there and I was able to get some
beautiful photos.  God sure paints a wonderful picture.

My first taste of buffalo
Bill have veal.

Great place  to eat!

Arizona Zoos

We decided to check out the wild life this year!

Our first zoo was one close to home called Wildlife Zoo and Aquarium.  When we walked in my first thought was, "this will be a short trip".  We left five hours later.  This place was fantastic and they are expanding.  I am NOT a fan of animals in small spaces and this zoo is really improving the life of their animals.

The wind picked up while we were there and I had the honor of rescuing two baby quail.  They got blown away from their momma.  The little guys were no bigger than your thumb.  They found nine of them.

Sticking his tongue out at me

On our way back from the Grand Canyon we stopped at Bearzona.  This is part drive through part walk through.  The first thing they tell you is
"Don't Roll Down You Car Windows"
But you can't get good shot through a window, so I broke that rule....a few times.

Luke Air Force Base Lightning in the Desert

What a fantastic day!

We spent the extra money and got the VIP tickets.  It was the best money we spent.  They had buses that took us from a special parking lot and dropped us at the show.  There were chairs and tables under tents or by the air strip we were fed breakfast, lunch and all the pop and water we wanted.  It was a hot day so the tents were great, but no matter what the show was fantastic!  Everything from music to narration was perfect!
