October 17 and 18, 2019 Booneville, NC

We made it to our second Harvest Hosts.  We had the whole upper parking lot to ourselves.  It was so quiet.  Destiny was the perfect host serving some wonderful wine.

While we were parked here our generator sprang a leak.
I was glad we were parked on gravel.  The next morning we covered the stain
with kitty litter.  I talked to one of the workers and he said not to worry and was
glad I put litter over it.  We will be at the Dover, FL General RV on November 7th.
Rolling down the road!

October 15 - 17, 2019 Surveyor, WV

This three hour drive became FIVE.
We got so lost.
The adventure is real.

This place is really pretty.  The spots are a little close for me
and the drive in was wild

Our wheels are still rolling

October 13-14, 2019 Marietta, OH

Wayne National Forest is part of the Appalachian foothills.
We spent two nights here.  It was beautiful.
These are the views from the RV

Took a walk on this trail

 and found this

Would not want to be here in the dark

This is Perl Totman he is a local carver.
He works with ash trees that have been infected with the emerald ash borer.

This carving represents the first settlers that came to this area.
This carving was done by Gutzon Borglum.  He was famous for
carving Mt. Rushmore

A view from the scenic overlook

Made a pit stop at the Warther Museum.  This man had a
second grade education and was able to build a legacy by carving and
making beautiful knives.

I am almost caught up.  Just a couple more stops.

October 12, 2019 Wakeman, Oh

We are back on the road and our first stop was a Harvest Hosts winery.
Vermilion Valley Vineyard was a beautiful stop.  They were having a clam and chicken bake that night.  We got there early enough to enjoy a glass or two of wine.

The first sign we seen said 2.5 miles to the road closure.
I had 2.3 miles to go.  My bet says MY GPS was WRONG.
Looking for the winery

We made it to Vermilion Valley and we had the perfect parking spot

One down One to go

Flippin the yard birds and there were some
big birds

I was told this pot was 100 years old
