February 5-8, 2020 FMCA SEA Rally Lakeland, Florida

It was so good to get to a rally.
We have never been to another regional rally and we were glad we
chose this one.  We met some great people and I had a
great time taking pictures.

The parking crew is wonderful.  When I arrived
there wasn't much to do.  The rush was coming.

The maestros were there to entertain us

Comedian Jimmy Travis was our entertainment for the first night.  He was great and I was not sure how they were going to top this.

I found my happy place at the pet show

What a beautiful sun set

FMCA SEA chose Canine Companions .
So this group melted my heart.  Half of the proceeds from the 50/50 raffle went to
this group.  It made my eyes and a lot of other eyes well up as the gentleman
who won the $1000 raffle gave it all back to Canine Companions.  They also
passed the hat before they drew the number and the total they gave was over
$3000
AMAZING

This mother of twins was a fill in act when the group
that was supposed to preform had to cancel.
I can't remember her name but she was fantastic.
She had people on their feet and laughing.

Our final day started with a boxed meal.
I had pulled pork and we thought this box
was very well put together and people moved
through the line FAST.

The Rogues had a great sound.  I can't
find a web site for them.
The people were setting all over and people
dancing in the isles.

I believe there were about 520 RV's at this event.
They volunteer teams did a great job.
Next year they will be in Perry, GA

January 2020 Florida

I have not seen sky writing in forever.
Seen this while we walked around Disney Springs

While the RV generator was getting fixed
we took a trip to Parksdale Market for
some strawberry shortcake

Moonrise and sunrise at Oak Harbor

We found a great Italian restaurant
in Lakeland.  Scarapa's had great food and wonderful service.  Brie with raspberry and walnuts for Bill and a deconstructed caprese for me.  Bill had lasagna and I had shrimp scampi.  Since the meal was so good we opted for dessert.  I had raspberries and custard on a walnut crust and Bill had the creme brulee.

Another wonderful restaurant is PaddleFish at Disney Springs.  A huge thank you to Larry and Marilyn for taking us to this great place.
We started with  Tableside Lobster Guacamole, chowders and adult beverages.
We should have stopped there.  We ventured on to lobster roll, fish and chips and crab cake cake BLT.  We were over stuffed but not done.

The last stop on our food adventure was Amorette's PatisserieThis was the
perfect ending to a great meal.

This big guy was in our lake.

We went to Epcot to meet Ron and Bonnie for dinner
at Teppan Edo.  The food and company were amazing.

Bill and I went to Animal Kingdom.  He wanted to ride the
Flight of Passage in Pandora.
It was amazing.  The time sign read 150 minutes.  It took a little over an hour.

I think that is everything for our January in Florida.
We will spend the first part of February at an FMCA SEA Rally.
