September 9 to October 16, 2018

This will be my super update.
We had a couple more events before we left for the Habitat Build.

We had a great time with Carol and Bob hosting a neighborhood breakfast.  We had so much great food.  It was a good time.

There was time for one more event for the girls before we left.
Kaye organized a brunch at The Mad Hatter.  This was a great place and the food was wonderful.

After that we hit the road.
Next stop York, SC for our Habitat Build in Gastonia, NC

Some wonderful people have signed this sign.

Wrapping the house

It was really hot

It was another great group this year.

We always give a Saturday to the Church

 Walls for the shed

Our last day

I have never built where both weeks were off the chart HOT.
This year we melted!

We left the rig at the church and flew to Dallas Fort Worth, Texas to see Athena and Nate's new house.

Papa told a little girl that he was taking her swimming.  Little did we know
all the pools are closed, so it was off to Great Wolf Lodge.
She had a ball.
We are going back in December with all the grand kids.
Don't tell them.

 She loved every character.

YES, we had cupcake for breakfast

We spent some time with the grand son's.
Ian is playing roller hockey.  He is the smallest guy on
the team but he loves it.  I can't wait to see him play next year.

I am almost up to date.
We will be in Florida soon

July 27 to September 2, 2018 Our time in Michigan

It's hard to believe our time in Durand is coming to a close.
We have six days left before we leave Holiday Shores.
I thought I would throw out a few pictures of the things we have
done while we were here.

On July 27th Holiday Shores held a golf outing.
The rain held off and I had a blast taking pictures.

We got to attend a hot dog cook out at the Holiday House.  It's always better
when someone else cooks

And this visitor was very photogenic.
I took these on the pond behind our rig.

I went down to the courts and took pictures
of the bocce ball teams.  This group is so much fun.

We took Ella to the Detroit Zoo.
It has been a couple of years since our
last visit.  We had a blast.

These are a few of the lovely ladies I grew up with.
We got together for a weekend in Ludington.
Cheryll & Tom brought their boat over and took
us out for a sunset cruise.  It was a great weekend.

So glad they decided to celebrate my cousins
50th birthday early.  She did not suspect a thing.
Happy Birthday Kaye

I went to Texas and got in time to photograph
the parking lot party.

Making great friends is what makes our life so special.
Diane & Mike are part of our camping group and they
celebrated 50 years of marriage.  Love these two!!

I love a full moon!!

This is the second year we have taken Ella
to the Renaissance Festival.  Henna is
always on the todo list

Holiday Shores is getting good at the
parking lot parties.  Good weather, food and music.

There are still a couple events on the calendar before we leave but I
needed to get caught up.
