August 2012

What a busy month August has been!

These are the pictures I took while we were at Holiday Shores in Durand.  These pictures are from Skip & Char's beautiful garden.

The little bird below really enjoied the water that dripped. He came around several times and day and had a very loud song.

Our Last Campout with The Blue Water RV'ers
Well it is our last campout till next year.
We have learned so much from this group and we have had so much fun with them they are like a second family.

It rained most of the time which made for a beautiful background for this old Church.
For our farwell event we made all 30 of them a meal of jumbalaya, chicken alfredo, corn with peppers, fruit salad and rum bread pudding. I think we left on a good note.

I didn't get to go inside the Church but I did put my camera in the window to get the above shot.

We got to visit with Ella and Jen before we left.
I am sure Ella will be growing up fast in the months we are gone.

One Last Event Before We Left

Before we left we celebrated Athena and Nate's upcoming wedding with a
shower for Athena.

We had a great time at the Fenton Hotel.  The food was great and Eric was the best server we could ask for.

Thanks again to all the friends and family who came to celebrate with us and a special thank you to Chris and Linda who kept me on track and hosted the event!  They are the best sisters ever.

The picture above is Athena getting her make-up done at MAC.  I even got my makeup done but there are NO Pictures!!

The picture to the left is of the center pieces we had at the shower.  Athena and I had fun creating these.

Off to Our First Tourist Spots!

We stayed at Master Tech in Elkhart, IN for a couple of days while we had some work done on the RV.  For the record, these guys do a wonderful job!  They have wonderful customer service and are easy to work with.

We had time to do a couple side trips while the rig was getting worked on.  Our first choice was the RV Hall of Fame.  They have a huge amount of old rigs here and their library is second to none.  It is worth the stop if you are ever in the area.

What is an adventure without food?
We stopped at the Amish Acres for dinner. The service was great and the food was down home good.

The next blog update will probably come out very soon.
We are currently at the FMCA Rally in Indianapolis and then off to the Red Neck Olympics in Tenesee.

Untill next time, keep it between the lines!!
