On our way to Sunflower in Surprise, AZ we stopped near Oatman an old mining town where the donkeys roam. It was a really nice town. On our way there we stayed at a campground called Route 66 Golden Shores. It was nothing fancy and a pain to find but the people and the dogs were great.

Tom, the owner of the RV park said we should take the long drive over the hill outside Oatman. It was a beautiful drive.
