January 29, 2019 Lyon




These are some of the sugar & chocolate pieces for the pastry and ice competition.






It's the first day to the 
Bocused' Or World Cuisine Contest

Mr. Thomas Keller himself

 This was team USA's first show piece.
The crowd was silent when they brought it out

 No one could figure out how they were going to serve it


 Then the lid came off and it was ready to 
be served.

A little sauce and the crowd went wild


 This was team USA's display piece

 This is what some other countries put out



 Lots of cheering going on

 So many judges

And bands to cheer their team

So I am sure you are wondering about dinner.

 Tonight we are at the Restaurant Paul Bocuse.
3-Star Michelin since 1965










 A wonderful lobster salad


 Filet of beef with froie gras 

And the cheese course




Wine cave

A lemony palate cleanser

 And all those sweets


 These were the vegetarian dishes
White fish with potatoes layered like scales and 
a beautiful salmon dish


That is the end of another wonderful meal.
I think we got home around 12.  Tomorrow we 
have to be ready to go at 7:30 am for breakfast.
