September 2nd - 6th, 2016 Bar Harbor, Maine

Bar Harbor, Maine
The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page.  Saint Augustine

The trip to Bar Harbor was everything we dreamed it would be and more.  There were beautiful sights, fantastic food and wonderful people.

This is how you start a Bar Harbor stay. We ate this wonderful meal at the Terrace Grill

2 Cats was a great tip.  Facebook is a great resource for good food.

Lobster eggs benedict, blueberry pancakes and lox and bagels.

Now for some random photos taken between Bar Harbor and Schoodic Peninsula in the Arcadia National Forest

In 1947 Bar Harbor's Millionaire Row was burned.  This is part of what is left.  I wish I could have walked here longer.  It was a little spooky looking at what was left.

Same shot with and without flash

He said I couldn't go any further.  I said OK
I couldn't end the blog with our pictures of the lobster boil at Mt. Desert Narrows Campground.  Our neighbors had a bring your own lobster party.  They boiled the lobsters in sea water and sea weed.  They were the best lobsters I have ever eaten.  You didn't even need butter.  Thanks Bo & Roxy it was the best time!! And Nuzzles!!

Nuzzles

And because all good things must come to an end, these were the pictures from our final night in Bar Harbor.

This is one of those places we will come back to.  It is absolutely breath taking.
